Tasks and Duties
- Operate ROV equipment including video and still cameras, acoustic positioning system, SONAR, robotic arms.
- Supervise the launch and recovery of ROVs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment associated with an ROV as well as the vessel itself.
- Utilize test and calibration equipment.
- Perform basic rigging and operate small boats.
- Perform basic electronic and hydraulic construction.
- Maintain technical documentation on all aspects of an ROV.
- Write post-mission (flight) reports when necessary.
- Evaluate and interpret environmental conditions for safety.
- Navigate ROV.
